A Rough Start:
My first 3 years in the classroom were, how do I put this, a nightmare. I didn't know a thing about classroom management, I didn't know how to communicate my knowledge about reading and writing in a language that kids would understand, and I was waaaaay too focused on being the "fun" teacher.
Which left me fighting tears, feeling stressed, and wondering what else I could do with an English degree.
LUCKILY... I had some amazing mentors and family members who helped me figure it all out, and now I LOVE teaching.
I'm good at it.
And I'm obsessed with helping other teachers the way that my mentors helped me.
